The honour of judging this year’s Royal Highland Show was down to Mr Colin Mcclymount, Newton Stewart, Wigtownshire, winning the RHS breed champion title 2024 was Rednock Oriana from Gill & Malcolm Pye, Oriana a June 2019 born cow by Rigel Officer and out of Rednock Odessa. As well as standing overall champion she also stood female champion after winning her strong class and won best animal bred by exhibitor.
The reserve overall champion sash was presented to the junior male champion, overall junior champion and male champion Rednock Tarzan Poll from Gill & Malcolm Pye. Tarzan is a Senateur sired son born April 2023 and out of homebred cow Rednock Dandelion Poll. Rednock were also triumphant in the junior female section winning junior female champion with Rednock Dusty a April 2023 born daughter sired by Drumaglea Kes and out of Rigel Diva. Also standing reserve junior female champion also from Rednock was Rednock Blizzard an April 2024 daughter sired by Senateur and out of Rednock Breeze.
Standing reserve junior male champion from the Livesey family was Cleuchhead Target a sired son of Noble and born April 2023 and out of home bred cow Cleuchhead Mhairi 21st. Taking home the reserve male champion title was our senior bull Traboyack Rooney exhibited by Catherine Atkinson, Rooney was bred by Mr J Wright and sired by Lowick Hall Spartan and out of Drumaglea Molly.
The Pairs competition and best group of three was won by Rednock, Gil & Malcolm Pye.
