A fantastic sale for Salers at the Stirling May Sale, with Salers taking the record for the highest priced bull from any breed at the May Multi Breed Sale. With the highest averages at £5,635 it was a good day at the office for the breed.
9 out of 11 bulls sold in the ring with the Show Champion Whitebog Kick-Ass selling for 8,500gns, but it was Patrick Boyds Drumaglea Kes from Tiree, which made the high price of 12,000gns selling to Malcolm and Gill Pye’s Rednock herd of Salers at Port of Menteith, Stirling. Malcolm said he was delighted to welcome Kes to their Salers herd, he is the grandson of two of the very best female breeding lines they ever produced – Alicia and Mithril.
