Although not a Society sale, the May multi-breed sale at Stirling saw all four Salers bulls offered sell to average £3360.
Sale leader at 5000gns was Rigel Discovery from Messrs Pye. This black coated Rigel Othello son is out of Rigel Dixie, an Amazonien daughter. Combining Othello and Amazonien this bull will posses strong maternal traits with a large pelvic area, good udder and plenty of milk. He was purchased by Messrs Wallace, Whauphill, Newton Stewart.
The second top price also came from the Pye family, this time with Rigel Carlisle. He traded at 3800gns to Messrs Limmond, Kirkmichael, Ayrshire. Sired by Sagitaire he is out of Rigel Cereberus, a Mosstock Intouch daughter.
