SEAWELL LEAD NEWARK – 3000gns

Encouraged by the successful sales of Salers bulls and breeding females entered by individual members of the Salers Society over a number of years at the Newark April Multibreed Sale, the Salers Cattle Society held its inaugural Spring Sale on Saturday 3rd May at Newark Livestock Market.
Leading trade at 3300gns was Seawell Homer from Peter Donger. This February 2012-born Seawell Extra son is out of Aurore, a Texas daughter and was purchased by  Conor Colgan, Berwick-upon-Tweed.

Two heifers from Terence Pye’s Rigel herd traded at 2000gns. The two year old heifers are both by Casimir and out of dams by Amazonien and Rigel Othello. They sold to founder members of the Pasture-Fed Livestock Association John and Guy Turner, who run a 100ha organic farm at Little Bytham, Stamford.
