The Salers section attracted strong entries at United Auctions, Stirling, on Sunday 15 February 2026, with judge Ben Bellew, stock manager at Gentons Pedigree Livestock, Banbury, Oxfordshire, presiding over a competitive line-up ahead of the sale on Monday 16th February 2026.
Competition proved particularly fierce in the senior class for bulls born between 4 February and 5 May 2024, where depth of quality was evident throughout. It proved a red-letter day for Rob, Kath, Iain and Rory Livesey, whose Cleuchhead herd swept the board with both supreme and reserve titles.
Taking top honours and lifting the overall championship was Lot 669, Cleuchhead Ultra. The horned bull, born on 13 April 2024 by Cleuchhead Rockefeller and out of Havane (Nana) (IMP), has successfully served 15 heifers at home. He was knocked down at 15,000gns to the Rusko herd of N & D Austin Ltd, Gatehouse of Fleet, Kirkcudbrightshire.

His stablemate, Lot 666, Cleuchhead Unique, secured second place in the senior class before returning to claim the reserve overall championship. The 27 March 2024-born son of Essil Olly is out of Cleuchhead Corolle 1338 and has also been used at home. He topped the day’s trading at 16,000gns, selling to pedigree breeders the Firm of K MacKenzie, Fortrose, Ross-shire for their Whitebog herd.

The third prize rosette was awarded to Lot 661, Newland Unit from Thor Atkinson’s Arradfoot and Newland herd, Cumbria — and it was a landmark occasion for the Cumbrian breeder, who was making his very first appearance as a vendor at the Stirling Bulls Sales. By Gentons Sargent Poll and out of Gentons Reine, the 4 February 2024-born bull had already demonstrated his quality on the show circuit, having previously stood Continental Champion at the Thirsk Rising Stars Show 2025. That form translated well in the sale ring, with the bull attracting strong interest before selling for 4,500gns to new pedigree members S & A Moralee, Willington, County Durham.
Rednock Estate, Stirling, featured strongly with two bulls in the senior placings. Fourth-placed Lot 664, Rednock Usman Poll, a 25 March 2024-born polled bull by Rednock Oswald Poll, carried impressive figures including +8 milk and +25 for 400-day growth. His maternal grand dam has produced 15 calves in 15 years. He sold for 5,000gns to T Coghill, Birsay, Orkney. Also from Rednock Estate, fifth-placed Lot 662, Rednock Umaga (born 14 March 2024), is by Senateur (IMP) and traces back through his maternal grandsire Drumaglea Kes, which was purchased for 12,000gns. He reached 10,000gns, heading to the Scottish Government Bull Stud, Inverness.
Sixth prize went to Lot 670, Cammock Ultravox from Niall and Katy Blair, Easter Cammock, Blairgowrie. The 16 April 2024-born horned bull by Rednock Oregon is out of Cammock Peggy, whose sire Beeston Hall Finn was Overall Champion at the Great Yorkshire Show. He sold for 4,000gns to Summers & Sons, Torphins, Aberdeenshire.
Seventh in the senior class was Lot 665, Rigel Ulrich Poll from Rigel Pedigree, Messrs Pye, Leven Fields, North Yorkshire. He was secured for 5,800gns by Messrs Farquhar, Kilmarnock, Ayrshire.
Junior Class
In the junior class for bulls born on or after 6 May 2024, Rednock Estate again came to the fore with Lot 671, Rednock Upbeat Poll, taking first prize. Born 6 May 2024 by Rednock Oswald Poll, he carries a catalogue 400-day growth EBV of +30. The junior champion attracted strong interest, selling at 11,000gns to Beoch Farmers, Stranraer, Wigtownshire.
Second prize went to Lot 672, Cumbrian Umpire Poll from Farmstock Genetics, Over Whitlaw Farm, Selkirk. The homozygous polled bull, born 12 May 2024, is by Manor Lane Napoleon. He sold for 10,000gns to Messrs Lawrence, Ellon, Aberdeenshire.
Mr A. MacKenzie’s Whitebog herd, Ross-shire, took third and fourth in the junior class. Third-placed Lot 678, Whitebog Usher, born on 14 July 2024 and by Napoleon, sold for 6,000gns to Rannagulzion Farms, Blairgowrie, Perthshire. Fourth-placed Lot 679, Whitebog Urban, born on 17 July 2024 by Seawell Jewel, made 7,500gns, going to Mitchell & Co, Greenlaw, Berwickshire.
Fifth place went to Lot 676, Strathallan Upbeat, a horned bull by Whitebog Russell, from Murray Lyle, Mid Cambushinnie Farm, Dunblane. He sold for 6,500gns to M White, Richmond, North Yorkshire. Standing sixth was Lot 675, Cumbrian Ugo Poll from Farmstock Genetics, a 16 May 2024-born polled bull by Sauveur, which sold at 5,500gns to Messrs Turnbull, St Andrews, Fife.
Seventh in the junior class was Lot 677, Strathallan Utmost, also from Murray Lyle, Mid Cambushinnie Farm, Dunblane, which matched his stable mate’s price at 6,500gns, selling to Messrs Buchanan, Girvan, Ayrshire. Eighth-placed Lot 674, Cumbrian Unique from Farmstock Genetics, sold at 4,000gns to Messrs Wilson, Barnard Castle, County Durham.
