Rednock Estate led the Bull trade and took overall Bull Champion. 8 bulls sold for a 100% clearance to a top price of 11,000gns and an average of £6,326 which is up by £1,898 on last year. For the first time we had the new Salers Pedigree and Commercial Breeding female section which was a great success where 15 Pedigrees Females sold for a 100% clearance to a top price of 2,600gns for a cow and calf at foot and averaged £1,894. Up next we had 8 Salers X Females which sold for 100% clearance for an average of £1,750.
The Salers classes were judged by Peter Mackie from Motherwell, Peter farm alongside his father, at Goodockhill Farm, Newhouse, running 200 (mainly) Saler and Saler cross cows with 150 spring calving and 50 backend calving. Peter awarded overall champion to Rednock Shaggy Poll from Gill & Malcolm Pye, Shaggy a June 2022 born bull sold for top price of 11,000gns to Rannagulzion Farm. Standing Reserve Overall Champion was M & k Fleming Rednock Salvador a march 2022 born bull by Baron and out of Rednock Peru Salvador sold for 7,800gns selling to Burnton Farms ,Kincardineshire. Up next with two bulls selling for 6,000gns was from Gill & Malcolm Pye Rednock Sam Poll a June 2022 born bull by Rednock Oswald Poll and out of Rednock Poppy Sam went home to the Scottish Government Bull Stud, Inverness. Also going home to the Scottish Government Bull Stud, Inverness was Rednock Solomon July born bull by Rigel Officer and out of Rigel Diamante.
Whitebog Stuart From Mr A. Mackenzie is a March 2022 born bull by Napoleon and out of Whitebog Ogechi sold for 5500gns selling to W F & H Logan, Ayrshire. Rigel Pedigree’s entry Rigel Stirling Poll an April 2022 born bull by Rigel Orlando Poll and out of Cleuchhead Gentle sold for 5000gns selling to J M & W Turnbull, Fife.

Two Heifers Rednock Beauty and Rednock Chatterbox both sold for 1,700gns selling to R J D Milne, Aberdeenshire along with Rednock Pansy Poll selling for 1,600gns and Rednock Peony Poll selling for 1,750gns. Rednock Doris Poll an April 2023 born heifer sold for 1,700gns to T & C Atkinson, Co Durham.
Next in the ring was three Pedigree Bulling Heifers From the Killyboggin Herd ( M & K Fleming) all three heifers Cleuchhead Carat, Cleuchhead Magalie and Cleuchhead Merry sold for 1,600gns each selling to Mcburney Transport, Ballantrae.
The Final Pedigrees in the ring were two cows with calfs at foot from Cleuchhead Herd ( Livesey Farming) Cleuchhead Carat with Heifer Calf at foot and Cleuchhead Corolle with bull calf at foot both sold for 2,600gns each selling to Beoch Farmers, Stranraer.
15 Pedigrees Females sold for a 100% clearance to a top price of 2,600gns for a cow and calf at foot for an average of £1,894.
