Judge Arwel Owen from Welshpool Mid Wales works for Genus ABS, picked out Rednock Seb as his Junior Champion, before tapping him out as the Overall Champion. Rednock Seb a Drumaglea Kes sired bull was born in May 2022. Rednock Seb then went on to sell for top price of 7,500gns selling to Austin LTD from Castle Douglas.
The Reserve overall Champion spot was also awarded to Gill & Malcom Pye from Rednock Estate Rednock Shamrock Poll was also the Intermediate Champion. Rednock Shamrock Poll a March 2022 born bull Sired by Drumaglea Kes sold for 7,200gns to Edwards & Co from Machynlleth Powys.
The Senior Champion went to G. & M Smith Drumsleed Sultan who is a February 2022 born bull sired by Cleuchhead Outlaw, Drumsleed Sultan then went on to sell for 4,000gns heading home with Coghill from Orkney.
The Reserve Junior Champion went to a bull from Gill & Malcolm Pye from Rednock Estate Rednock Sirocco Poll, born May 2022 sired by Rednock Oswald Poll, he is one of the first Heterozygous Sons to be sold by Rednock Oswald Poll. Rednock Sirocco Poll went on to sell for 5,500gns selling to the Scottish Government Bull Stud Inverness.
Picked for Reserve Intermediate Champion was Rednock Storm from Gill & Malcom Pye from Rednock Estate, Storm is a March 2022 born bull sired by Baron one of the top AI French Sires. Rednock Storm then went into the sale ring to sell for 6,200gns to Leiper & Sons from Newcastle-Upon – Tyne.
The Reserve Senior Champion places was awarded to Murray Lyle bull Strathallan Robbie an April 2021 born bull sired by Seawell Nobleman Strathallan Robbie went on to sell for 3,000gns selling to Coghill Orkney.
Cleuchhead Superman from Livesey Farming a May 2022 born bull sired by an Imp bull Nomad sold well for 7,000gns selling and heading home with Aled Jones from Cwynedd.
Rigel Ringo Starr Blk Poll from Rigel Pedigree is a September 2021 born bull sired by Rigel Mojave Blk Poll, he was the only black bull in the market and sold for 6,000gns heading home to with Turnbull Fife.
Farmstock Genetics sold Cumbrian Santino Poll for 6,500gns, he is a May 2022 born bull sired by Parkfield Polled Nobelm, he sold to Ritchie & Sons Perthshire.
