Buyers from around the UK were present at the Salers sale; the show champion and top priced male went to Cuil Herbie born 19/4/14 sired by Cumbrian Jonnie a Vaillant son out of home bred Cuil Eliza this male caught the eye of many around the ring. He sold for 8,000gns to Bryn Robinson, Preen Bank Salers, Shropshire.
Whitebog James a June 2014 born Bijou bull went for 6,800gns.
Out of 15 bulls forward only 2 went back home, not a bad clearance rate.
Three females forward averaged 2100gns, female champion Lisanamaul Gaga a Seawell Fitzpatrick daughter born 22/7/13 went back home to Ireland. A good square heifer in calf due April.
A draft sale from Farmstock Genetics of maiden heifers had an average of 1818gns with a top price of 2100gns.
