2015 BALMORAL SHOW (RUAS)

John Elliott and family, Newtownstewart enjoyed one of their best Balmoral Shows to date when their home bred young cow “Drumlegagh Elise” was tapped out breed champion by judge Alan Howatson, Wigtownshire.

The success didn’t end there for the Elliott team when their imported French stock bull “Gladiateur” was placed Reserve Champion making it a clean sweep for the Drumlegagh herd.

The Junior Championship was “Lisnamaul Hannah” from Patrick Maginn, Downpatrick. This smart yearling heifer is sired by Seawell Fitzpatrick and out of a home bred cow.

Robert Millar, Larne stood top of the line in the two year old heifer class with his imported heifer “Idole”. This was the largest class in the Salers section of the judging.
For the second year in a row the breed put forward a strong team for the Interbreed Group of 3 Championship, and repeated their 2014 position of Runner Up.
