2014 SEAWELL GENIE – RWAS CHAMPION

Peter Donger secured the overall championship at the Royal Welsh Show today under judge Rob Livesey from the Cleuchhead herd. His champion was Seawell Genie, a 2011-born cow with her March-born heifer calf at foot by Vicote. Genie herself is by Seawell Extra and out of Seawell Connie.

Rob commented on his champion by saying: “I was impressed by the champion, she is a young productive cow with lots of stretch, scale and style. She has a correct young calf at foot and is producing it well.
“The bull that stood reserve is big, powerful and strong and I look forward to seeing his progeny in the future.”
Standing reserve overall was Etna, a French import from Alun Jones. This 2008-born Anjou son is out of Ondee and is on his first show in the UK since being purchased from breeder Gaec Elevage Missiel last October.
