Unfortunately no show classes at this years Royal Welsh Show. Breeders in Wales need to plan ahead so we can try get the classes re-instated in 2012.
Despite no showing classes the Salers stand had many visitors from far and wide. Richard Tudor supplied some good Salers X cows with Salers X Simmental calves at foot. Many thanks to Richard for supporting the society by not only providing cattle for the stand but also for being available on the stand to talk to visitors.
Thanks also go to other members, past and present, for doing a stint on the stand and supporting the society.
The Salers stand has a premium spot right at the side of the cattle ring, we had a contingent of students from Belgium taking a healthy interest in the Salers X, along with many commercial breeders. Lots of networking went on to help raise the profile of the breed.
