A successful sale of Salers was held at Welshpool Livestock Sales on Thursday 14th May 2015. The show saw Seawell Idris named Champion Bull, a February 2013 born bull sired by Casper. He sold for 8000 gns, which was also the top price of the sale.
Reserve Champion title went to Seawell Invader, a March 2013 born bull, Sired by Denver, and went on to make 7500gns.
Out of the 7 bulls forward, 5 sold to an impressive average of £5250.
The Female Champion was lot 133, Beeston Hall Gali, from S & R Hallos, sired by Cleuchhead Zoro, selling for 1850gns.
Reserve Champion was Rigel Desire Poll, lot 132, sired by Casimir.
Top price female was Rigel Oklahoma, selling to a top of 2200gns.
Out of the 3 pedigree heifers two were sold to an average of £2126.
The commercial heifers sold to a top of 1900gns from T T Jones & Son, Glyn Farm. Twenty commercial heifers on offer with a full clearance, averaging £1310.
